Hit play, jack up and join the party.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 800;\">When and where, how was this mix recorded?<\/h5>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px !important;\">This mix was recorded sometime during March of 2012, at my home studio &#8211; &#8220;The Zen Room&#8221; (no, it&#8217;s not a generic yoga studio, it&#8217;s an homage to The Rocky Horror Picture Show!).\u00a0 I recorded this mix live on two turntables, a mixer and Serato Scratch Live.\u00a0 And it features my recent favorite electro-funk and disco-house.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 800;\">Some of your favorite musicians new or old?<\/h5>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px !important;\">Off the top of my head&#8230;James Brown, David Byrne, Norman Whitfield, DJ Shadow, Fatboy Slim, Louis La Roche, Daptone Records, James Murphy.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gw6Kaa0WFd8\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 800;\">How is it like for you being in Dayton, Ohio?<\/h5>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px !important;\">It is very easy and comfortable to live here. It is also very inexpensive &#8211; I can pretty much pay my bills by freelancing, which frees up most of my time for pursuing my own projects, which is why I&#8217;ve stayed here for so long. I am so consumed by my various endeavors, that I don&#8217;t even notice where I&#8217;m living.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 800;\">Tell us a bit of your new LP.<\/h5>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px !important;\">The new LP is still a work in progress &#8212; I hope to have it finished by the end of the year.\u00a0 It&#8217;s called &#8220;Phantom Of The Disco&#8221; &#8211; and it&#8217;s a concept album about the Phantom Of The Disco &#8211; the behind-the-scenes creator of nightlife, and the people &amp; challenges he encounters.\u00a0 The music will be sample-based disco \/ electro \/ funk \/ hip-hop.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 800;\">How did you pick up music?<\/h5>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px !important;\">When I was in the 7th grade, I attended a summer-camp about radio-broadcasting, and got my first taste of audio-editing.\u00a0 I also experimented on my parents computer making loops (with the primitive &#8220;Wave Editor&#8221; software).\u00a0 At the same time, I was first introduced to electronic music, hip-hop and scratching.\u00a0 That&#8217;s when I decided I wanted to start making music.\u00a0 I decided my instrument of choice would be turntables \/ scratching, so I started the long process of saving up money to purchase them&#8230;.
