I mixed it with Serato and turntables. I selected tracks from diverse genres and incorporated some Belgian artists because I think they are really talented but not easily noticed outside our little country.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 800;\">How would you relate it to us?<\/h5>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px !important;\">I met Avneesh last summer while in Mauritius, am very grateful he invited me to make this mix. I completely fell in love with your magnificent island and really loved spinning there. Sunny Mauritius and its lovely people were in my mind throughout the whole recording!<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 800;\">Can you share with us the earliest memory you have about Hip Hop and the record that maybe acted as the turning point for you?<\/h5>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px !important;\">The earliest I remember is discovering this genre through the radio, I was very lucky as my father thought it was important for me to have my own little hi-fi system since quite young; and it was always on. The turning point was definitely Ill Communication by Beastie Boys when I was 15. I was so touched by all the instrumentals and beats structure, I think from there started my sensitivity to rich musicality in rap.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 800;\">Last year, us and many islanders have had the chance to witness your wholly colourful way of mixing; how would you describe your process of tune selection and your mindspace behind the decks?<\/h5>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px !important;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2670\" src=\"http:\/\/electrocaine.com\/podcast\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/fatoo_mauritius.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"769\" srcset=\"https:\/\/electrocaine.com\/sessions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/fatoo_mauritius.jpg 1280w, https:\/\/electrocaine.com\/sessions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/fatoo_mauritius-300x180.jpg 300w, https:\/\/electrocaine.com\/sessions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/fatoo_mauritius-768x461.jpg 768w, https:\/\/electrocaine.com\/sessions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/fatoo_mauritius-1024x615.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px !important;\">When I have to select tracks for a mix or a party, most of them are the ones that make my heart bump or my mind dream. Since I first started to record radio tunes on tapes during my childhood until my deejay activity, the same modus operandi always guides me: whether it\u2019s a dark, a crazy or a beautiful vibe, when I listen to a track I love, it\u2019s like everything is possible in my life while listening to it! I\u2019m so grateful to the artists who make that possible, it\u2019s like magic and I want to share that. When I spin at parties, I want to give the audience the same feeling I felt when hearing those tracks for the first time.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 800;\">Your are from the unwavering <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SupaflyCollective\/\">Supafly Collective<\/a>! Really love your work on the weekly radio show on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/BRUZZbe\/\">Bruzz<\/a> (ex FM Brussels) and in breaking norms on the excess of &#8216;masculinity&#8217; in the Hip Hop world. We started the collective with the 7 of us\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/m.mixcloud.com\/mikigold\/\">Mikigold<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; DJ,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mixcloud.com\/YoungMocro\/ym3\/\">Young Mocro<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; DJ,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mixcloud.com\/vanessagaudy\/\">Vaneeshua<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; DJ,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lizairo.be\/\">Lizairo<\/a> &#8211; photographer,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.anattitude.net\/\">Jee Nice\u00a0<\/a>&#8211; Magazine Editor living in Germany, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/JoBeeProject\/\">JoBee<\/a> and myself),\u00a0the passion got us working together and then the friendship came. We really achieved many things thanks to our group\u2019s energy, we would have never done this individually!
